System integrity checks are based on internal and external monitoring of the system. Externally, ping, http, smtp, POP3, ftp and DNS are monitored every minute. Internally, critical system processes such as name servers, crondeamon or mail servers are checked every 5 minutes. The integrity check also tests to see if the system exceeds or falls below the limit such as in terms of available hard disk space, user quotas, long-term system processes and exceeding the time limit for CPU-intensive processes. It also provides a comprehensive automatic evaluation of server log files on indication of malfunction. Typical incidents for system reports are, for example, first sporadic read errors of a hard drive or incorrect configuration of a name server.

The escalation concept includes messages and urgency reports. If 80% of the hard disk space is exceeded, the system administrator is informed by message whereas if 90% of the capacity is exceeded an urgent notification is sent. All system messages are divided into various categories of urgency. Different notification can be addressed to different recipients. Typically, urgent messages are forwarded on to an SMS gateway while other system messages land in a normal administrator email account.

You can equip yourself with a free basic SSL certificate simply by going to the "SSL Manager" menu tab in your account on the konsoleH user interface.

The build-in hard drives / SSDs can be exchanged at extra charge. A 1:1 data transfer will take place. The server will continue to run as usual after the hard disk change without the need for a new setup.

Exchange your managed server's hardware with the hardware for a current model (within the separate lines of virtual and dedicated models). You can request our Hardware Exchange Service by writing a quick support request. Our team will do a 1:1 migration of your systems. And all it costs is the new server's setup fee and any difference in the monthly price.
