    Falkenstein – 1. September 2013

On 21 September 2013, employees of Hetzner Online AG participated in a local Volunteers Day in Falkenstein, Saxony/Germany. They renovated a children's day care center with the active support of actress and Habitat for Humanity German Goodwill Ambassador Alexandra Neldel.

Fifteen Hetzner Online AG employees from the company's Falkenstein Data Center Park spent their free Saturday as volunteers, helping to carry out long overdue repair work at the 'Knirpsenland' children's day care center and, finally, providing children aged seven and under with more attractive surroundings in which to play.

German actress Alexandra Neldel also helped out: “I am delighted that a company such as Hetzner Online AG is actively supporting social projects at home as well as abroad, involving employees in its own country and making this joint campaign with Habitat for Humanity possible.“

The German web hosting company and data center operator has been involved with Habitat for Humanity projects in Africa since 2010: over 50 homes in South Africa, Cameroon and Mosambique have been built or renovated for needy families. Moreover, a three-year housing project to build homes for families affected by HIV has been running in Malawi since 2012.

“As a company with clients all over the world, we are very aware of our social responsibility. We live this responsibility by helping globally and, with the active support of our employees here in Falkenstein, by getting actively involved at a local level too,“ said Christian Fitz, Head of Marketing at Hetzner Online.
