• LOTS OF CLOUD FOR LITTLE MONEY. HETZNER ONLINE REDEFINES CLOUD HOSTING.

  • Gunzenhausen – 23. January 2018

The web hoster and data center operator Hetzner Online has expanded its line of products to now include cloud servers. Hetzner Cloud’s incredible price-to-performance ratio together with the quick and intuitive usability of the Cloud Console, the customer administration interface, make administering the cloud servers a pleasure. Customers have flexible payment options: they can pay a capped monthly fee or pay by the hour, making Hetzner Cloud ideal for all projects. Hetzner Online houses its cloud servers in its own data centers, which adhere to strict German data protection laws and operate in accordance with ISO 27001.

Today, Hetzner Online officially released five different cloud models to the worldwide market. One look at the technology reveals that all five cloud servers operate using high-end hardware. Intel Skylake Xeon CPUs together with NVMe SSDs provide ample performance, enough even for demanding tasks. Customers may also choose between local storage and network storage (NVMe SSD RAID or Ceph).

Billing for the Hetzner Cloud is flexible and transparent. There is no minimum contract period. Each Hetzner Cloud model is capped at a maximum monthly price, but if customers only use their Cloud a little, they can pay by the hour. Hetzner Online automatically charges customers the smaller of these two options.

The entry-level model, the CX11, costs a mere €2.49 a month and includes 1 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD and 20 TB of traffic. If users need more traffic, it’s just €1.00 for each additional TB.

The model with the most resources, the CX51, includes 8 CPU cores, 32 GB RAM and 240 GB SSD, all for the very affordable price of €29.90 a month.

Using Cloud Console, customers can create new server instances and deploy them almost instantly, often in under ten seconds. Cloud Console also includes a feature with which customers can easily add team members and assign roles, making Cloud Console ideal for administering larger team projects. With Cloud Console, customers may also use additional low-cost features such as backups, snapshots, and floating IPs with just a few clicks.

Cloud Console also incorporates a real-time, graphical monitoring tool so users can check the performance of the CPU, disks, and network on which their Cloud is based. Further features make it easy for customers to automate their Cloud infrastructure administration, and Cloud Console includes a REST-API and a CLI tool for developers. Hetzner Cloud’s thorough documentation, together with programming examples, make getting started easy.
