Hetzner won the Service Provider Award in the "Cloud Server" category for the fifth time in a row and was awarded "Silver" in the "Data Center / Colocation XXL" category. The annual Service Provider Awards highlight the best cloud and IT companies in 13 different categories. More than 16,000 readers took part in the survey.
Once a year, the winners of the Service Provider Awards are determined by a reader survey in cooperation with the IT portals of Vogel IT-Medien. Hetzner Online received "Platinum" in the "Cloud Server" category for the fourth time in a row and was thus once again at the top of the winners' podium.
Hetzner Online was awarded the entrepreneur prize by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and is one of the 50 best owner-managed companies in Bavaria for the fifth time. The "Bavaria's Best 50" competition is held annually and honors companies that have been able to increase the number of their employees and their sales at an above-average rate in recent years.
Hetzner Online scored big again in an independent reader's survey, which was performed by several large online media portals. At the annual Service Provider Awards, which honors the top IT companies in an array of categories, Hetzner took home the platinum top prize for the Cloud Server category.
At the Service Provider Summit 2021, the best IT companies in a total of eleven categories were honored with the Readers Choice Service Provider Awards. Hetzner Online has once again earned a spot on the winners' podium in the "Cloud Server" category and received platinum.
The Vogel IT-Akademie once again sought to find the best service providers in their yearly reader's choice poll. Leading providers were nominated in a total of ten categories. Hetzner Online was able to beat the competition in the category "Cloud Server" and received platinum!
Twenty-thousand people participated in this year's Vogel IT-Medien's reader's choice awards. They chose Hetzner Online as their favorite for the "Webhosting" category. Therefore, Hetzner Online was able to take home the first place "Platinum" prize at the Hosting & Service Provider Awards.
Hetzner Online received the "Bavaria's Best 50" award for continuous growth for the fourth time.
The prestigious prize is awarded by the Bavarian Ministry of State in recognition of those medium-sized companies that have increased their workforce and sales significantly within the last 5 years.
Hetzner Online was honored in two categories at the HSP Summit. In the "Cloud Service Provider" category, the company was presented with the "Gold" award, and in the "Webhosting" category with "Silver". The "Hosting & Service Provider Awards" winners were chosen for the third time in 11 categories based on the results of a big reader survey.
The winners of the 10 different categories were chosen in an online survey by the readers from nine IT portals belonging to Vogel IT-Medien and the online portal webhostlist.de. Hetzner Online received the most votes in the category "VPS/vServer", and therefore was presented with the first place award, the "Platinum" award.
Hetzner Online was honered with the "Ruban d'Honneur" distinction in the "ELITE Award for Growth Strategy of the Year 2016/17" category of the European Business Awards (EBA).
An independent panel of judges consisting of business experts selected Hetzner Online as one of Europe’s 110 most dynamic and exciting businesses because Hetzner Online actively demonstrates the core values of the European Business Awards: success, innovation and ethics.
Hetzner Online was honored at the 10th annual European Business Awards. It was one of 32 German businesses to officially receive the title National German Champions.
A panel of EBA judges selected the National German Champions by rigorously examining the companies' growth, business models, product quality, commitment to their community, environmental policies, and other benchmarks.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award is considered one of the most sought-after prizes in the technology industry. Deloitte selected the candidates for the award based on companies' performance, innovative spirit, and cumulative sales growth in the last five years.
Due to Hetzner Online's solid and continued growth, it was nominated not only for the category "Technology Fast 50", but also for the more challenging "Sustained Excellence Award".
IT trade journal "PC-WELT" has evaluated the brand image of brands from the ICT and consumer electronics markets for the 21st time as part of Europe's largest readership survey.
Over 27,000 "PC-WELT" readers voted across 16 product categories and voted Hetzner Online "Brand of the Year 2014" in both 'Business' and 'Private' sections of the "Webhosting" category. Hetzner Online was also awarded "Technology Winner 2014" in the "Webhosting - Private" category and achieved second place in the 'Business' sector.
"Brand Awareness International 2014" surveys readers' buyer behaviour for ICT and consumer electronics products, asks readers to identify quality brands, and to identify which brands offer the best price/performance ratio.
Each year editors of the German IT specialist journal "funkschau" ask readers to vote across nine categories for the best companies.
Hetzner Online was again nominated in the "Internet provider" category and achieved a top ranking.
The company's new data center park in Nuremberg was shortlisted as a finalist for the "International Datacentre Awards" in the "New Datacentre of the Year" category and achieved a top ranking.
For the sixth year, the international consulting group Broadgroup again recognized innovation and excellence across the data center sector.

Hetzner Online has been awarded the "GreenIT Best Practice Award 2011" at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in Berlin for its innovative and energy-efficient data center park.
The prize recognizes concepts and solutions which contribute towards improving energy-efficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in an exemplary way.
The Hetzner Online data center park impressed the jurors with its innovative and modular building concept, environmentally friendly direct free cooling, the use of power-efficient components as well as the use of special measuring and monitoring engineering.
Each year the Association of German Internet Industry recognizes the best businesses in the industry for their services with its eco Internet Awards. At the official eco Gala in Cologne in July 2011, Hetzner Online received the eco Internet Award for the category "Hosting", making the company the best hosting provider in Germany. Criteria for the award, which recognizes the company as providing the best price-performance ratio for hosting services in its target sector, include:
- variety of package offers and value added benefits
- prices, tariffs, contract terms
- facility security, hardware redundancy, power supply, UPS
- backup, (data-) security, internet connection, peering
Furthermore, the company´s commitment to protecting the environment was an additional factor which convinced the jurors. Hetzner Online exclusively uses energy from renewable sources to power the hosting servers in its own data centers. "The construction of the data center park in Falkenstein constitutes further innovative and energy-saving solutions by Hetzner in the field of hosting," said the jury.
Hetzner Online has been a leading light at the eco Internet Awards for many years. In 2007 Hetzner Online received the award for "best hosting provider for private clients" for the first time.
